Kalayogi Ananda Coomaraswamy

In his book of over two hundred pages, Harisha has succinctly summarised the main ideas in Coomaraswamy’s
writings. Along with a few of Coomaraswamy’s prominent works, he has included glowing tributes from leading Eastern
and Western scholars of the twentieth century. To my knowledge, there is no other book in Kannada that provides
such a comprehensive introduction to Ananda Coomaraswamy. It deserves to have seen several reprints by now. I am happy that it is now ready for its second reprint. Discussions about the life and legacy of Ananda Coomaraswamy should be happening all across Karnataka. Kannada writers will greatly benefit from this and emerge stronger and better.
